Mercusys MW300UM N300 Wireless Mini USB Adapter

Mercusys N300 Wireless Mini USB Adapter
The Mercusys MW300UM is a small, inexpensive way to get a desktop PC or an older laptop with a dead Wi-Fi card onto a wireless network. It plugs into a USB port and adds 2.4 GHz 802.11n Wi-Fi at up to 300 Mbps, which is enough for browsing, streaming, video calls and casual gaming on a typical South African fibre or LTE line. The adapter measures only 40.4 x 17.2 x 8.6 mm and uses an internal antenna, so you can leave it plugged into a notebook in a bag without much risk of snapping it off. Security support includes WPA/WPA2-PSK and the newer WPA3-SAE. Mercusys lists support for Windows 11, 10, 8.1, 8, 7 and XP (32/64-bit). The connection is USB 2.0, which is more than fast enough for an N300 link. In the box you get the MW300UM adapter and a quick installation guide. Choose this for a cheap, simple 2.4 GHz connection. If your router is far away or you want 5 GHz, look at a dual-band high-gain model instead.
