The Netgear M4250-10G2F-PoE+ (GSM4212P) is a fully managed Layer 2/Layer 3 gigabit switch from Netgear's AV Line, designed for audio- and video-over-IP installations in venues, houses of worship, classrooms and corporate AV. It has 12 ports: ten 1G RJ45 ports, eight of which supply PoE+ at up to 30 W per port within a 125 W total budget to power cameras, encoders, speakers or wall panels, plus two 1G SFP fibre slots for uplinks. Netgear's IGMP Plus enables multicast with little or no setup, and a streamlined AV web interface lets pre-built AV profiles be applied to individual ports. Auto-trunk and auto-LAG link it to other M4250 and M4300 switches, and AVB can be added with a separate licence. The 1U chassis has front status LEDs with cabling at the rear, runs fanless or at about 30 dB, and can be rack, under-table, wall or VESA mounted. It measures 440 x 200 x 43.2 mm and weighs 2.85 kg. In the box: switch, power cord, USB-C and RJ45-DB9 console cables and rack-mount brackets. Netgear offers a limited lifetime hardware warranty.
