The Netix ZACAT5100MUTP is a 100-metre box of unterminated UTP network cable for indoor installations, the kind of length an installer or DIY-er needs to wire a house, small office or shop, then crimp RJ45 plugs or punch down onto keystone jacks and patch panels to suit each run. Esquire lists it as Category 5 cable for 10/100Mbps Fast Ethernet, suited to connecting PCs, routers, switches, printers and IP cameras on small to medium networks. The jacket carries metre markings at regular intervals, which makes measuring and cutting runs during installation easy. It is an indoor cable, so for runs between buildings or anywhere exposed to sun and rain use an outdoor-rated UV-resistant cable instead. Note: Esquire's photo shows a Zatech-branded box marked 'CAT 5e'. Esquire lists no warranty.
