A 5-metre blue Netix CAT6 UTP patch cable with pre-crimped, tested RJ45 plugs on both ends. CAT6 is rated to 250MHz, which gives comfortable headroom for Gigabit Ethernet (1000Mbps) between a router or switch and a desktop PC, console, smart TV, NAS, printer or Wi-Fi access point. Five metres is a handy in-room or desk-to-wall-plate length, and the blue jacket makes it easy to tell apart from other leads in a cabinet or behind a TV unit. It is plug-and-play with any standard RJ45 Ethernet port and is backward compatible with CAT5e and CAT5 equipment. Typical uses in South African homes and small offices include hard-wiring a gaming PC or streaming box to the fibre router for a more stable connection than Wi-Fi, or patching devices in a small network rack. Supplied in Netix retail packaging; Esquire lists it with no warranty.
