A bag of 100 NetiX RJ45 rubber boots in red, made to slide over the plug end of a Cat5, Cat5e or Cat6 patch lead. Also called strain-relief boots, they take the bending stress off the point where the cable enters the connector, and their anti-snag shape covers the plug's locking clip so it doesn't catch and snap when you pull cables through trunking, ceilings or a busy rack. That alone saves a lot of re-crimping. The red colour is useful for colour-coding: mark uplinks, CCTV runs, VoIP phones or a particular floor so anyone working in the cabinet can identify a cable at a glance. The boots are flexible enough to fit and remove by hand. Slide them onto the cable before you crimp the RJ45 plug, then push them over the finished connector.
