The Netix USB 3.0 to RJ45 adapter adds a wired Ethernet port to laptops, ultrabooks and other devices that have no LAN socket, through a standard USB-A port. Plug it in, connect a network cable and you have a stable wired connection - useful for video calls, large downloads or anywhere Wi-Fi is weak. It's a compact, bus-powered dongle with a short attached cable, works in USB 3.0 ports and is backward compatible with USB 2.0, and supports auto-MDIX so straight or crossover cables both work, plus full- and half-duplex operation. Important: Esquire states it tested this unit as a 10/100Mbps Fast Ethernet adapter and that the 'Gigabit' wording on the packaging (and printed on the adapter) is incorrect, so expect up to 100Mbps.
