The Neumann AC 32 0.6 m (catalogue number 700358) is the short version of the connection cable that links the Neumann Miniature Clip Mic (MCM) system to a wireless bodypack transmitter fitted with a three-pin LEMO input. The cable plugs into the MCM gooseneck at one end and terminates in a three-pin LEMO connector at the other, letting a KK 14 capsule on an instrument clip be sent over a radio link rather than a cable to the stage box. At 0.6 m it suits setups where the transmitter is mounted on the instrument itself or very close to it, avoiding excess cable that could snag or pick up handling noise. It is Kevlar-reinforced for strength while staying flexible. The KC 1 cable bridge, supplied with the gooseneck and available separately, can secure the joint between the cable and the gooseneck. Neumann also makes the AC 32 in 1.8 m and 3.0 m lengths, and sister cables for XLR (AC 31) and other connectors, so an MCM kit can be matched to different transmitters.
