The Neumann AC 32 1.8 m (catalogue number 008704) is the connection cable that links the Neumann Miniature Clip Mic (MCM) system to a wireless bodypack transmitter fitted with a three-pin LEMO input, such as many Sennheiser and other professional bodypacks. The cable plugs into the MCM gooseneck at one end and terminates in a three-pin LEMO connector at the other, so a KK 14 capsule on an instrument clip can be sent over a radio link instead of a cable run to the stage box. It is Kevlar-reinforced for strength and stays flexible, which matters for performers moving around with a transmitter on the belt or instrument strap. The KC 1 cable bridge, supplied with the gooseneck and also available separately, can be used to secure the joint between the cable and the gooseneck. The 1.8 m length suits most saxophone, brass and string players wearing a bodypack. Neumann also makes the AC 32 in 0.6 m and 3.0 m lengths, and sister cables for XLR (AC 31) and other connectors.
