The Neumann EA 4 is an elastic suspension shock mount in nickel finish (cat. no. 008641) for Neumann's TLM 102, TLM 103 and TLM 107 studio microphones. It holds the microphone inside a cradle of elastic bands so that floor, stand and desk vibrations, handling noise and low-frequency rumble are isolated from the capsule - important for vocals, voice-over, podcasting and instrument recording with a sensitive condenser microphone. The EA 4 has a swivel mount with a 5/8"-27 female thread for standard microphone stands, plus a thread adapter so it can also be used on 1/2" and 3/8" stands. The frame carries the 'NEUMANN.BERLIN' marking and a locking knob for the swivel angle. Replacement elastic bands are available separately from Neumann. A black version (EA 4 bk, 008642) exists for black microphones; this listing is the nickel version to match nickel-finish TLM microphones.
