These are the genuine Neumann replacement ear pads for the NDH 20 closed-back studio headphones (catalogue number 508819), supplied as one pair. The NDH 20 is used by recording engineers, producers, broadcasters and musicians for monitoring and mixing, often in loud or noisy environments, and it depends on its circumaural ear pads for both comfort over long sessions and the passive isolation that a closed-back design relies on. Over time ear pads compress, crack or become unhygienic, which reduces isolation, changes the bass response and makes the headphones less comfortable, so fitting a fresh pair restores the headphones to their original feel and sound. Neumann specifies the NDH 20's pads as cloth-covered memory foam, and the replacement pads are anthracite grey, matching the standard NDH 20. Studios, schools and rental companies that share headphones between users often keep spare pads on hand for hygiene. The NDH 20's ear pads are designed to be user-replaceable. This listing is for the ear pads only; the headphones are not included. Check that your headphones are the NDH 20, as the NDH 30 uses different pads.
