The Neumann KH 80 DSP A G is a compact active two-way nearfield studio monitor with a DSP core, suited to project and music studios, editing and broadcast rooms, outside broadcast vans and desktop setups. A 100 mm (4 in) long-throw composite woofer and 25 mm (1 in) fabric-dome tweeter sit behind protective metal grilles, driven by 120 W and 70 W amplifiers, with Neumann's Mathematically Modelled Dispersion waveguide for smooth off-axis response. The DSP provides linear-phase crossover, protection limiting and room adaptation: rear switches set position and low-mid EQ, while Neumann's MA 1 software with its measurement microphone (sold separately) automatically aligns the speaker to the room. Inputs are balanced XLR and 6.3 mm jack. Free-field response is 57 Hz to 21 kHz (plus or minus 3 dB) and maximum SPL is about 108.8 dB. The anthracite cabinet measures 233 x 154 x 194 mm and weighs 3.5 kg. The EU version (catalogue 506834) is sold singly and includes self-adhesive feet and an EU mains cable.
