The Neumann KH 810 G (cat. no. 503951) is an active studio subwoofer with 7.1 High Definition Bass Management, designed to extend Neumann KH-line monitor systems from stereo up to 7.1 surround and 3D formats in music, broadcast and post-production studios. Its 10-inch (265 mm) long-throw composite sandwich-cone driver uses Neumann's ELFF motor with magnetic shielding, and together with large front-mounted flow-optimised ports it reaches down to 18 Hz (18-300 Hz at +/-3 dB) with a maximum of 110.7 dB SPL. Eight channels of balanced analogue XLR I/O feed a bypassable 4th-order 80 Hz crossover, with four LFE routing modes, LFE gain of 0 or +10 dB, a daisy-chain output for subwoofer arrays and support for NRC 1 / SEA 1 remote control or RS-232. The 200 W amplifier sits in a low-resonance wooden cabinet that can stand beside a wall or be flush-mounted thanks to the front port. The cabinet measures 360 x 330 x 645 mm and weighs 26 kg. Supplied with EU, UK and US mains cables, an operating manual and a quick-start guide. Neumann now lists the KH 810 under its historical products, succeeded by the KH 810 II.
