Neumann KK 205 BK Super Cardioid Microphone Capsule, Effective Suppression of Popping Noises

The Neumann KK 205 BK (article 008654) is a black supercardioid condenser capsule head for Sennheiser handheld wireless transmitters, bringing Neumann studio-grade sound to live vocals, presentations and broadcast. Neumann lists it for the Sennheiser SKM 2000, SKM 6000 and SKM 9000 handhelds as well as the EW G4 300/500 series and EW-D wireless systems, so it slots into a wide range of existing Sennheiser rigs. The supercardioid pattern gives tighter pickup and stronger feedback rejection on loud stages, and the head is designed for effective suppression of popping noises. The capsule covers 40 Hz - 20 kHz with a sensitivity of 2.8 mV/Pa, handles up to 150 dB SPL at 0.5% THD and has a self-noise of 24 dB-A, giving plenty of headroom for powerful singers. The head is 55 mm in diameter; mounted on an SKM 2000 the combined length is about 272 mm and weight about 500 g including transmitter and batteries. It is supplied in a black finish with a padded nylon bag, and simply screws on in place of the transmitter's existing capsule. No transmitter or receiver is included.
