Neumann TLM 103 Large Diaphragm Microphone, Cardioid, Nickel, SG 2 Stand Mount Swivel, Wooden Box

The Neumann TLM 103 (article 008430) is a large-diaphragm cardioid condenser studio microphone, widely used in professional and project studios for vocals, voice-over, podcasting, acoustic guitar, piano and guitar amplifiers. Its capsule design is derived from the famous U 87 A, and the transformerless circuit gives an extremely low self-noise of 7 dB-A with a broad presence boost for clarity. It handles up to 138 dB SPL, has a sensitivity of 23 mV/Pa and a frequency range of 20 Hz - 20 kHz, and a maximum output of 13 dBu, so it copes with loud sources as well as quiet speech. The microphone requires 48 V phantom power (3 mA) and connects via a standard 3-pin XLR. This nickel version is supplied with the SG 2 swivel stand mount and a wooden storage box. The body measures 60 mm in diameter and 132 mm long and weighs about 450 g. A pop screen and shock mount are recommended for close vocal work and are sold separately.
