Neumann TLM 107 Large Diaphragm Microphone, Multipattern, SG 2 Swivel Mount, Wooden Box

The Neumann TLM 107 (cat. no. 008666, nickel) is a large-diaphragm multi-pattern condenser microphone, supplied with the SG 2 swivel mount in a wooden box. It is one of Neumann's most versatile studio microphones, suited to vocals, speech, acoustic and electric instruments, drums and room or stereo recording. An all-new capsule design offers five switchable directional patterns - omni, wide cardioid, cardioid, hypercardioid and figure-8 - selected from a front-panel switch with LED indicators, which also sets pre-attenuation and low-cut filtering. Frequency range is 20 Hz to 20 kHz, sensitivity 11 mV/Pa and self-noise 10 dB-A. Maximum SPL is 141 dB, rising to 147 dB and 153 dB with the -6 and -12 dB pads, so it handles very loud sources. It runs on 48 V phantom power (3.2 mA) via XLR 3. The body is 64 mm in diameter, 145 mm long and weighs 445 g. A black 'bk' version is sold separately; this listing is the nickel model.
