The Neutrik NBNC75BXU13X is a rearTWIST UHD BNC male cable connector, 75 ohm, for building high-resolution video cables for SDI, 4K and 8K broadcast and production work. Neutrik's UHD design uses an optimised contact pin and insulator to keep return loss low at high frequencies: the connector is specified at better than 23 dB return loss up to 6 GHz, 15 dB up to 12 GHz and 12 dB up to 18 GHz, so it suits 12G-SDI links. It is a crimp connector for coax with an outside diameter of 7.3 mm, using a 7.36 mm hex crimp on the shield and a 1.6 mm pin crimp, and the rearTWIST mechanism lets the bayonet be locked and released from the rear of the connector, which helps on crowded patch panels. The shell is brass with Neutrik's Swiss antraloy plating and the centre contact is gold-plated brass. It is rated for more than 1,000 mating cycles and -30 to +85 C, and is fully compatible with standard BNC sockets. Supplied as a single connector; crimp tools, dies and coloured boots are sold separately.
