Norton Security Standard is a one-device, one-year Norton protection licence for a Windows PC or Mac, supplied in an Africa-distribution retail box. It is the earlier Norton by Symantec product rather than the current Norton 360 line, and covers the essentials: always-up-to-date antivirus, protection against spyware, malware and unsafe websites, a Smart Firewall, and safeguards for your identity and online transactions while you bank and shop. Norton's Virus Protection Promise applied to this product as well. It suits a single home or small-office computer that just needs dependable antivirus without extras such as VPN, cloud backup or parental controls. Esquire lists it as limited stock and notes there is no warranty on the software itself; activation requires the key in the box, a Norton account and an internet connection. If you need to cover phones or several computers, look at the Norton 360 range instead.
