Garmin Panoptix PS30 Down, Transom/Trolling

Garmin Panoptix PS30 Down, Transom/Trolling

The Garmin Panoptix PS30 is a down-looking live-scanning sonar transducer, mountable on the boat's transom or a trolling motor, showing fish and bait swimming beneath and around the boat in real time - even while the boat is completely stationary, unlike a traditional CHIRP transducer that relies on forward motion to build a usable picture over time.

More Info

It offers three distinct viewing modes: LiveVu Down for a live, video-like feed directly beneath the boat, RealVu 3D Down for a genuine three-dimensional rendering of fish and structure, and RealVu 3D Historical for reviewing a 3D scan after the fact. This is the companion transducer to the PS31 Forward in Garmin's Panoptix range - PS30 for what's directly below, PS31 for what's ahead - and anglers often run both together for full coverage around the boat. It ships with an integrated 30ft network cable and 15ft power cable, a transom mount, split ring RJ45 connector, a software-update microSD card with adapter, and documentation, so a straightforward transom installation doesn't require separately sourced cabling. It's a popular pairing with a forward-looking Panoptix transducer, since anglers running both together get a full real-time picture directly beneath and ahead of the boat rather than just one view.
