The Synology PAS7700 is a 24-bay expansion unit for Synology's PAS7700 enterprise storage platform — it adds 24 more drive bays to an existing array rather than functioning as a standalone NAS, connecting back to the head unit to scale total capacity as storage needs grow. Dual redundant, hot-swappable power supplies mean a single PSU failure won't take the whole expansion unit offline, important for an always-on production storage array. Backed by a 5-year manufacturer warranty, matching the enterprise-grade support expected at this tier.
