The Plus Audio D48 is a 4-input, 8-output loudspeaker management processor (DSP) in a 1U 19-inch rack format, used by sound engineers and installers to split, route, time-align, equalise and protect loudspeaker systems in live production and fixed installations. It accepts four analogue inputs plus two 2-channel AES/EBU digital inputs, and provides eight analogue outputs plus four 2-channel AES outputs, all switchable between formats. Each input channel has a compressor, high-pass filter, six bands of parametric EQ and up to 1.3 seconds of delay, and routing can be set up as a mix-matrix, free-routing or one of several preset configurations. The D48 runs at 96 kHz with a frequency response of +/-0.4 dB from 20 Hz to 20 kHz, dynamic range over 115 dB, THD+N of 0.0013% and 1.074 ms analogue latency. Front-panel controls allow instant muting, editing of common parameters and preset recall, and Ethernet control software lets you configure it from a PC, including offline. Inputs accept over +20 dBu. It runs on 90 - 250 V AC at under 40 W, measures 482 x 213 x 44 mm and weighs 2.8 kg.
