The Plus Audio HMS1 (PLU-HMS1-BE) is a single-ear headworn microphone in beige, made for presenters, actors, worship leaders, fitness instructors and conference speakers who want hands-free sound that is nearly invisible against skin. It uses a 2.5 mm Danish-made omnidirectional back-electret condenser capsule with a 20 Hz - 20 kHz frequency response, -35 dBV/Pa sensitivity, 140 dB maximum SPL and 30 dB(A) self-noise, so it copes with loud voices and picks up evenly without precise aiming. The thin boom is highly flexible and almost unbreakable for precise positioning at the corner of the mouth, and the adjustable ear hook gives a secure fit. It runs on 1.5 to 12 V DC bias from a wireless bodypack and comes with adapter cables for Shure and Sennheiser systems, so it can replace or supplement the headset in an existing wireless setup. The capsule weighs just 2.5 g and the cable is 1.4 mm thick and 1.2 m long. Supplied with two windscreens and a protective carry case.
