The Plus Audio MPS12A is a 12-inch, two-way active (self-powered) multipurpose point-source loudspeaker from the South African pro-audio brand Plus Audio, designed for live sound, DJs, bands, churches, conference venues, installations and mobile PA use. It pairs a 12-inch low-frequency driver with a 1.35-inch compression driver that uses a high-polymer diaphragm for clear, smooth highs, powered by a fanless, passively cooled Class D amplifier rated at 1000 W RMS (2000 W peak) with a limiter and front and rear clip LEDs. Maximum SPL is 129 dB, frequency response 50 Hz to 20 kHz and dispersion 90 x 70 degrees. Inputs are two combo XLR/jack sockets plus Bluetooth audio with True Wireless Stereo linking, with an XLR output (mix or link). A 2.4-inch colour display, or the Plus Audio iOS/Android app over Bluetooth, gives access to DSP: sound modes (Live, Club, Speech, Flat), pole/monitor/bracket presets, shelving and 4-band parametric EQ, low-cut filter, up to 100 m of delay and ducking. The injection-moulded cabinet has a 35 mm pole socket and three M10 rigging points, measures 628 x 359 x 353 mm and weighs 16.9 kg.
