The Procab BSD560F/10 is a 10 m CAT6 F/UTP network patch cable from Procab's Basic Series, terminated at both ends with male RJ45 connectors with gold-plated contacts. It provides reliable Ethernet connections for everything from office computers, switches and access points to digital AV networks such as Dante audio, AV-over-IP video and networked control systems. The four twisted pairs of 26 AWG conductors are protected by an overall aluminium foil screen (F/UTP), which gives good immunity to noise and interference from nearby power and lighting cables, a common problem in stage and installation environments. Procab lists support for 10BASE-T, 100BASE-TX, 1000BASE-T and 10GBASE-T. The jacket is LSHF (low smoke, halogen free), a flame-retardant material that releases little smoke and no corrosive halogen gases in a fire, so the cable can be used in public buildings, schools, hospitals and other demanding installations. The cable is black. At 10 m it suits runs between a rack and a stage box, a mixing position or a room's wall plate.
