The Procab CLV114/30 is a 30 metre SVGA (VGA) video cable with a 15-pin SVGA male connector at each end, from Procab's Classic Series for AV and IT installation work. It is used to connect computers, laptops, media players and presentation switchers to projectors, displays and VGA extenders in classrooms, boardrooms, auditoriums and older AV systems where VGA is still in service. Rather than thin twisted wires, the red, green, blue, horizontal and vertical sync (RGBHV) signals each travel on their own 75 ohm coaxial conductor, which preserves picture sharpness over long runs like this 30 m length. Each coax is foil-shielded with 100% coverage, and an overall aluminium-Mylar shield with drain wire rejects interference. All pins are connected, so EDID and DDC data pass through for automatic resolution detection. The 28 AWG oxygen-free copper conductors use thin, densely stranded wire for flexibility inside a 7.5 mm black PVC jacket, and the connectors have gold-plated contacts to resist oxidation.
