Procab Tester for HDMI

The Procab HDM900 is a portable HDMI cable tester from Procab's Contractor Series. It lets AV installers confirm that a field-terminated or installed HDMI cable is wired correctly before the wall is closed up or the client arrives. It has two parts, a master unit and a remote unit, so both ends of a long installed cable can be tested even when they are in different rooms. LEDs on each unit show the individual HDMI pins (TMDS pairs, clock, CEC, DDC/SCL/SDA, HEAC, hot-plug and +5 V). It tests HDMI 1.4 cables in either continuous (full range signal) or sweep mode, and it shows whether Procab's five-step crimp assembly was completed properly and whether the chosen cable length carries the signal. It is designed for the Contractor Series (HDM100 cables and HDM19 connectors) but works with any HDMI cable or installation. Procab lists this model as discontinued, so stock is limited.
