Garmin PS70-TH Down, Thru Hull

The Garmin PS70-TH is Garmin's offshore-grade Panoptix live-sonar transducer, built for true thru-hull mounting (a genuine hull penetration, not a shoot-through-hull installation) using bronze and stainless-steel construction for durability in demanding deep-water marine use. It delivers Garmin's RapidReturn live-sonar imaging - a real-time, moving-picture view of the water column rather than the static historical trace of traditional sonar.
It's designed specifically for deep-water offshore fishing, with usable live sonar imagery reaching down to roughly 1,000 feet, images refreshing at a minimum of 10 frames per second, and a wide 120° x 8° beam pattern for broad water-column coverage in a single view. This makes it suited to vessels regularly fishing 200 to 1,000-foot depths - well beyond where standard-mount Panoptix LiveScope transducers are practical - letting anglers see bait and fish positioned live around and beneath the boat, rather than only historical sonar returns as the boat passes over them. Being a true thru-hull unit, professional installation is required rather than a simple transom-clamp or trolling-motor mount. This is the same underlying Panoptix technology that also ships as a trolling-motor-integrated option on Garmin's Force-series motors, but built here as a dedicated, purpose-mounted offshore unit for boats fishing well beyond the depth and structure range that a shallow-water trolling-motor transducer is designed for.
