Radial Engineering Radial HotShot DM1 Momentary footswitch toggles dynamic mic from PA to intercom

The Radial HotShot DM-1 (order no. R800 1500) is a passive microphone switcher in a floor box, used by singers and presenters on stage to redirect their dynamic microphone away from the PA at the press of a foot. Plug the mic into the XLR input, connect output A to the main snake or PA and output B to a spare channel on the monitor console or an intercom bus. While the momentary footswitch is held down, the signal to the PA is muted and sent to output B instead, so artists on in-ear monitors can talk privately to band members or crew; releasing it returns to normal. It also works as a cough mute or to switch in a second channel with effects. The switching is designed to be quiet with dynamic microphones, and a ground lift disconnects pin 1 on output B. All XLRs are wired pin 2 hot and isolated from the chassis. The compact 14-gauge steel enclosure has a black enamel finish and needs no power.
