Radial Engineering Radial Ice Cube Line level isolator, passive 1 channel balanced with Eclipse transfomer

The Radial IceCube IC-1 (part R800 1031 00) is a compact, passive, single-channel balanced line-level isolator used to get rid of hum and buzz caused by ground loops and stray DC voltage. It is simply inserted between two line-level devices, for example between a DJ mixer and the main PA console, a mixer and a powered speaker, or a crossover and a power amplifier, using its female XLR input and male XLR output. Inside, a custom-made Eclipse transformer galvanically isolates the two devices, and a ground lift switch provides additional noise reduction. Radial designed it to keep the full audio bandwidth despite its small size, quoting 20 Hz to 20 kHz (±1 dB) response, 0.002% intermodulation distortion and a 25 dBu clip level, so it handles professional output levels without distortion or phase problems. No power is required. The 16-gauge steel housing measures 107 x 34 x 41 mm and weighs 0.18 kg, making it an easy problem-solver to keep in an AV technician's or sound engineer's toolbox. Covered by Radial's transferable 3-year warranty.
