The Radial JDV is a premium active direct box and preamp with a 100 percent discrete class-A signal path. It has two inputs that handle almost any source - active and passive instruments, microphones and piezo transducers - so a player can combine an instrument pickup with a microphone, or switch between two instruments. Radial's Drag Control load correction lets the player match the input load to the pickup for a more natural tone, and a phase-adjust control helps blend two sources without comb-filtering. The supplier describes this version as having two inputs and four outputs. It is used by bassists and acoustic players on stage and in studios, often with Radial's optional JR-2 footswitch for A/B selection and mute. Radial has discontinued the JDV range.
