Radial Engineering Radial JPC Active DI, stereo inputs for laptops & CD players, phantom powered

The Radial JPC (part R800 1026 00) is a stereo active direct box designed for laptops, phones, tablets and other consumer playback devices, solving the hum and buzz commonly heard when a computer is connected to a PA. It uses a hybrid circuit - active unity-gain buffers combined with transformer isolation - to block ground loops and reduce system noise, plus AC-blocking capacitors that stop PA noise bleeding back into the computer. Inputs are 1/4", RCA and 3.5 mm TRS, so almost any unbalanced source can be connected, and the two outputs are balanced XLR at mic level to feed a snake, stage box or console. It is powered by 48 V phantom from the mixer (each channel needs phantom), so no external supply is required on stage. Controls include an input pad and ground lift. Radial specifies 20 Hz - 20 kHz (+/- 2 dB), 111 dB dynamic range and +17 dBu maximum input. It measures 84 x 127 x 48 mm and weighs 720 g.
