The Radial Trim-Two (part R800 1117 00) is a passive stereo direct box with a level control, designed to connect laptops, tablets, smartphones, DJ gear and other consumer line-level playback devices to a professional PA or mixing console. Inputs are parallel 1/4-inch, RCA and 3.5 mm connectors, so almost any source plugs in without adaptors. Two custom transformers isolate and balance the signal, removing hum and buzz from ground loops and allowing long cable runs to the stage box, and the outputs are two balanced XLR-M connectors. An easy-access level control lets you trim a hot source on stage, and a mono-sum switch merges left and right so you can save a mixer channel or send the same programme to two destinations. A ground lift switch is also provided. Frequency response is 20 Hz to 20 kHz with more than 100 dB dynamic range and 0.009% distortion. It is fully passive and needs no power. The 14-gauge steel enclosure with protective outer shell measures 84 x 127 x 48 mm and weighs 0.70 kg. It is ideal for churches, corporate presentations, conference venues and theatres.
