This is the same Garmin Reactor 40 Hydraulic Corepack with SmartPump v2 as the GHC 50-equipped System Pack in this range, but sold without a dedicated GHC autopilot display -- a lower-cost option for a boat where the autopilot will be engaged, disengaged and adjusted directly from a compatible Garmin chartplotter at the helm instead of a separate instrument. The corepack itself is unchanged: a course computer/CCU paired with the compact brushless SmartPump v2, using a solid-state 9-axis AHRS so it can be mounted in almost any orientation on the boat while still tracking heading and motion accurately.

Operationally this suits boats that already have a Garmin MFD at the helm and don't need a second dedicated control head cluttering the dash -- engage/disengage, heading adjustments and pattern steering (heading hold, step turns, and wind hold/tack-jibe if a wind sensor is added for sailboats) are all driven from the chartplotter's own autopilot page. The hydraulic side is identical to the GHC-equipped pack: flow rate self-adjusts from 0 to 2.4 L/min across roughly 4-24 cu in steering cylinders, Shadow Drive instantly hands control back to the helm the moment the wheel is turned by hand, and Intelligent Rudder Rate Technology varies rudder speed with boat speed for smoother course-keeping. A GHC control head can still be added later on the same NMEA 2000 network if dedicated controls are wanted down the line.
