The Rycote 042210 is a pair of Single Lyre 72 (19/25) suspension clips, supplied with a modular adaptor and screws, for upgrading or repairing Rycote's Modular suspension and windshield systems. Rycote's patented Lyre is a one-piece moulded suspension that isolates a shotgun or pencil microphone from handling noise and vibration transmitted through a boom pole or pistol grip. Unlike older elastic-band suspensions, Lyres have no elasticated parts, so they never sag or need re-threading, and they are virtually unbreakable. This version is made in the medium 72 shore hardness (between the softer 62 shore and stiffer 82 shore options), with a black rigid body and a grey soft-grip insert that holds the microphone firmly without twisting or slipping and prevents scratching the mic's finish. It suits microphones of 19 to 25 mm diameter, such as the Sennheiser MKH 416, Rode NTG-3, Schoeps CMIT 5U, Neumann KMR 81i and Sanken CS3, used on Rycote Small and Medium suspensions and Windshield Kits 1 to 5. The modular adaptor lets the Lyres replace the old hoop and O-ring fittings on Modular suspensions.
