The Rycote 010520 is a replacement pair of Lyre suspension clips for the Rycote Super-Shield windshield system. The Super-Shield is Rycote's rigid-basket windshield and shock-mount kit for shotgun microphones up to 300 mm long, used by location sound recordists, boom operators and broadcast crews filming outdoors. Inside the basket, the two Lyres hold the microphone and isolate it from handling noise and vibration transmitted through the boom pole or pistol grip, and they stop the microphone knocking against the basket. Rycote's patented Lyre design is a one-piece moulded suspension with no elastic parts to sag, snap or re-thread, and it is extremely durable. This pack replaces worn, lost or damaged Lyres in an existing Super-Shield so the kit keeps its proper shock isolation and microphone stability; it can also be used to match the Lyres to a different microphone. Only the two Lyres are supplied: the Super-Shield chassis, pods, windjammer and microphone are not included. Check that your windshield is a Super-Shield before ordering, as Rycote's Modular and other suspensions use different Lyre fittings.
