The Schill GT 235.RM (part 200 39 000 000) is an empty cable drum from Schill's Professional Line GT series, made in Germany from a special impact-resistant rubber/plastic compound so it survives the knocks of touring, rental and outside-broadcast work. It is the smallest drum in the GT range - 235 mm high with a 135 mm core diameter and 110 mm winding width - and is used to store and deploy microphone, speaker, DMX, network and control cables, as well as hoses and ropes, without tangles or kinks. The frame includes a built-in carry handle and stable feet, and the 'RM' version adds an auxiliary spool (a second, smaller winding area) for winding a cable's first section separately, plus a removable front panel. A crank handle and parking brake make winding and securing easy. Typical capacity is about 80 m of 6 mm cable, 45 m of 8 mm, 30 m of 10 mm or 20 m of 12 mm. It weighs about 1 kg and is supplied empty, in black.
