The Schill GT 380.RM (order number 275 39 000 000) is a professional cable drum from the German manufacturer Schill's GT series, moulded from a special rubber compound rather than rigid plastic, so it survives drops, cold and rough handling on tours, film sets and industrial sites. Rental companies, stage crews and installers use it to store and deploy long runs of audio multicore, DMX, network, control and power cable, and Schill also rates it for pneumatic tubes, water and high-pressure hoses and ropes. The GT 380.RM version adds an auxiliary side spool with a velcro strap to hold a second, shorter cable or the tail of the main cable, and a 50 mm hole through the core so a cable end or connector can pass through to the drum's side. The drum has a 380 mm flange diameter and a 236 mm core, stands about 491 mm tall including its integral frame and carry handle, is roughly 303 mm deep, and weighs 4.3 kg empty. It is supplied as an empty black drum; cable and panel connectors are not included.
