This is the Seagate BarraCuda 1TB bare internal hard drive -- a bare SATA mechanism for fitting inside a laptop or desktop, not a pre-packaged external USB drive. It's a 2.5-inch, 7mm-thick SATA 6Gb/s drive spinning at 5400rpm with 128MB of cache and NCQ (Native Command Queuing) support for smoother multi-request performance, making it a natural upgrade or replacement drive for a laptop, a NAS bay, or a small-form-factor desktop that needs 1TB of bulk storage. It uses Shingled Magnetic Recording (SMR) combined with Seagate's Multi-Tier Caching technology to pack in higher areal density at this capacity, and is rated for a sustained data transfer rate of around 140MB/sec. Seagate backs the BarraCuda range with a 2-year limited warranty.
