The Securnix DC Male Connector cable is a short 25cm lead with a DC barrel plug, used to make tidy, reliable power connections in CCTV installations. Rather than cutting and twisting wires at each camera, installers use a pre-moulded lead like this to connect a camera or other 12V device to a power supply, a multi-channel CCTV power box or a pre-built siamese cable. The moulded black plug body gives better strain relief than a screw-terminal plug, and the 25cm length is enough to reach from a junction box to the camera without leaving loose cable to coil up. It is a handy spare to keep in the toolbox for repairing damaged leads, extending a power run with a female connector, or fitting new cameras, and it pairs naturally with the matching Securnix DC Female Connector cable. Check that the barrel size and polarity suit your equipment; most 12V CCTV cameras use the standard 5.5mm DC plug.
