The Securnix TR-712 is a centralised power supply cabinet for CCTV installations that need to run many analogue or HD-analogue cameras from one point. A single 12V DC 20A switch-mode supply inside a lockable steel wall-mount enclosure feeds 18 separate outputs. Each output has its own PTC resettable fuse, so a short on one camera run does not take down the rest of the system, and the outputs are surge protected with an LED status indicator. The supply also has output over-voltage, over-current and short-circuit protection. It accepts 100-240V AC mains input, so it suits South African installs where the cabinet can sit next to the DVR on a UPS or inverter to keep cameras recording through load shedding. With 20A shared across 18 channels, it is best suited to standard fixed cameras, roughly 1A per camera, rather than PTZs or IR-heavy units. It is a good fit for installers fitting out shops, warehouses, complexes and larger homes. Supplied in a retail box with a 1-year warranty.
