The Sennheiser CL 1-N (article 005022) is a short line-output cable that connects a Sennheiser evolution wireless bodypack receiver to a camcorder or recorder. Sennheiser lists it for the EK 100 G3 camera receiver, and the supplier also lists it for EK 100, EK 500 and EK 2000 receivers. One end has a 3.5 mm (1/8 inch) jack with a threaded locking collar that screws onto the receiver's output so it cannot be pulled out accidentally during a shoot; the other end is a right-angled 3.5 mm mini plug that goes into the camera's microphone or line input. This is the standard way to feed a wireless lavalier or handheld microphone signal straight into a video camera for interviews, ENG news gathering, documentaries and event filming, with the receiver mounted on the camera's shoe. The cable is short so there is little slack to snag, and it weighs about 21 g. Check that your camera input accepts a line-level signal, or adjust the receiver's output level accordingly. It carries Sennheiser's two-year warranty.
