The Sennheiser CL 35 TRS (article 508648) is a short coiled audio cable with a 3.5 mm TRS jack on each end, one of which locks, for connecting a compact wireless receiver or audio device to a camera's microphone input. Sennheiser lists it among its XSW-D portable accessories, where it is used to feed the receiver's output into a DSLR, mirrorless camera or camcorder for vlogging, interviews and run-and-gun video. The coiled design keeps the cable compact on a camera rig while still stretching enough to reach the input, and the right-angled plugs sit close to the devices to avoid snagging. The locking connector screws in so it cannot be knocked out mid-take. The bright blue cable is easy to spot in a kit bag. It weighs about 23 g. This is a TRS (3-pole) cable intended for cameras; smartphones generally need a TRRS cable instead. Sennheiser covers it with a two-year warranty, and it makes a sensible spare for anyone running a small wireless camera kit.
