The Sennheiser CL 35-XLR (article 700062) is a coiled audio cable that connects the EW-DP EK portable camera receiver of Sennheiser's Evolution Wireless Digital Portable system to an XLR input. One end has a 3.5 mm TRS plug that locks onto the receiver's output, and the other is a male XLR-3 plug, so the wireless signal can go straight into a professional camcorder, a field recorder or a mixer with balanced XLR inputs instead of a consumer 3.5 mm camera jack. As Sennheiser's photo shows, the 3.5 mm end is right-angled with a screw-locking collar to prevent accidental disconnection, and the coiled cable stays compact on a camera rig. The EW-DP EK is supplied with one of these cables as standard; this is the spare or additional cable for crews running several cameras. Sennheiser lists it as compatible with the EW-DP EK and the EW-DP 835, ME2 and ME4 sets. It weighs 48 g.
