Sennheiser E 609 Super Cardioid Instrument Microphone, Silver, XLR-3M

The Sennheiser e 609 Silver is a dynamic supercardioid instrument microphone best known as a guitar-cabinet mic. Its flat, side-address design lets it hang down in front of a speaker grille by its own cable or sit on a short stand, so it is quick to position on stage and in the studio. The supercardioid pattern rejects off-axis sound from drums and other amps, which keeps a guitar or tom clean in the mix, and it handles high sound pressure levels without trouble. A rugged all-metal body with reinforced grille, advanced shock mounting and a hum-compensating coil make it well suited to touring use. Frequency response is 40 to 15,000 Hz, sensitivity 1.5 mV/Pa and nominal impedance 350 ohms, connected via 3-pin XLR. It measures about 55 x 34 x 134 mm and weighs only around 140 g. It is made in Germany and finished in silver.
