The Sennheiser e 835-S-PTT (article 390020) is a dynamic cardioid handheld microphone with a push-to-talk switch, based on the widely used e 835 vocal mic. It is aimed at live sound engineers who need a talkback mic at the desk, studio producers, broadcasters, and control rooms or corporate settings where the mic should only be live while the button is held. The cardioid capsule is tuned for speech clarity and rejects background noise, and the housing is built for everyday handling. Frequency response is 40 Hz to 16 kHz, sensitivity 2.7 mV/Pa and nominal impedance 350 ohms (minimum terminating impedance 1000 ohms). It connects with a standard XLR-3 cable to any mixer or intercom input. It is about 180 mm long and weighs 330 g, and is rated for operation from 0 to 40 degrees C. Sennheiser covers it with a two-year warranty. A microphone cable and stand clip are not assumed to be included.
