Sennheiser E 845 Dynamic Super Cardioid Microphone, XLR-3M

The Sennheiser e 845 is a dynamic supercardioid handheld microphone for lead and backing vocals and for speech, from Sennheiser's evolution 800 series. The supercardioid pickup focuses on the singer and rejects sound from the sides, which cuts stage spill and improves gain before feedback on loud stages with wedge monitors. It has an extended high-frequency response with a presence lift and high output, a smooth warm tonal balance, and consistent on and off-axis behaviour so the sound stays stable as the performer moves. A rugged full-metal body, internal suspension and a hum-compensating coil keep handling and electrical noise down. Frequency response is 40 to 16,000 Hz, sensitivity 1.8 mV/Pa, and nominal impedance 350 ohms, with a 3-pin XLR connector. It measures about 46 mm in diameter by 185 mm and weighs approximately 360 g. This version has no on/off switch; the e 845-S is the switched model.
