The Sennheiser e 906 (article 500202) is a flat-profile super-cardioid dynamic microphone designed primarily for guitar amplifiers, and equally useful on drums, percussion and brass. Its slim body lets it hang directly in front of a speaker grille by its cable, with no stand needed. A three-position switchable presence filter (bright, moderate and dark) lets the engineer shape the tone at the source, while extremely fast transient response and high SPL handling reproduce the amp's true sound without colouration. A hum-compensating coil and shock-mounted capsule keep handling and stage noise low, and the reinforced metal housing is built for the road. Specifications: 40 - 18,000 Hz, 2.2 mV/Pa sensitivity, 350 ohms impedance and a 3-pin XLR output. It measures about 55 x 34 x 134 mm and weighs 140 g.
