Sennheiser E 908 B Condenser Gooseneck Instrument Microphone, For Brass With MZA 900 P

The Sennheiser e 908 B (article 500203) is a clip-on condenser gooseneck microphone for brass and woodwind instruments, supplied with the MZA 900 P phantom-power adapter. It clips onto the bell of a saxophone, trumpet or trombone, and also works on congas and other drums with floating or resonant mounts, so the player can move freely without a stand. The electret condenser capsule has a cardioid pattern and is shock-mounted to suppress handling noise, and the long flexible gooseneck with a secure universal clip lets the engineer place it exactly where the instrument sounds best. It handles high sound pressure levels, making it suitable for loud live brass sections. Sennheiser specifies 40 Hz to 20 kHz response, 4.0 mV/Pa sensitivity and 100 ohm impedance, with phantom power from 12 to 48 V via the MZA 900 P, which terminates in a 3-pin XLR. The microphone weighs about 140 g. It is assembled in Europe and carries a two-year Sennheiser warranty.
