The Sennheiser EK 500 G4-BW is the camera-mount receiver from the evolution wireless G4 500-series, used by videographers, ENG crews and filmmakers to receive a wireless lavalier or handheld signal directly on a camera or recorder. It slides into a camera shoe mount and outputs audio on a 3.5 mm jack at up to +17 dBu (mono, balanced), with a line output signal-to-noise ratio of at least 110 dBA and a headphone output of approximately 90 dBA. The receiver uses adaptive diversity reception, offers three squelch settings (5, 15 or 25 dBµV) and RF sensitivity of better than 1.6 µV for 52 dBA effective S/N, with THD of 0.9% or less. This BW version tunes across 626 to 698 MHz and pairs with G4 transmitters in the same range; check local frequency regulations first. It runs on two AA batteries or a BA 2015 rechargeable pack for typically 8 hours and measures approximately 82 x 64 x 24 mm. Transmitters and microphones are sold separately.
