The Sennheiser EW-DP EK (S1-7, article 700053) is the portable digital UHF camera receiver of the Evolution Wireless Digital portable (EW-DP) family, the successor to the Evolution Wireless G4 camera systems. It mounts on a camera and receives from EW-D SK bodypack, EW-D SKM-S handheld or EW-DP SKP plug-on transmitters, which makes it a core building block for filmmakers, journalists and videographers who need reliable wireless audio outside the congested 2.4 GHz band. The S1-7 variant covers 606.2 to 662 MHz. It has a large OLED display, wireless sync with transmitters over Bluetooth, and control from Sennheiser's Smart Assist app. Sennheiser quotes 1.9 ms latency, 20 Hz to 20 kHz frequency response and 134 dB dynamic range. Power comes from the supplied lithium-ion battery pack, two AA cells or USB-C, and the unit measures 86 x 67 x 28 mm and weighs 140 g. Sennheiser covers it with a two-year warranty.
