The Sennheiser EW-D Power Distribution Cable (article 509458) is a DC daisy-chain cable that lets a single power supply run several Evolution Wireless Digital rack receivers. According to Sennheiser it can power up to four EW-DX EM 2 or EW-DX EM 2 Dante receivers simultaneously, and it must only be used with Sennheiser's NT 12-35 CS power supply. The EW-DX EM 2 is a two-channel half-rack (9.5 inch) receiver that runs on 12 V DC and draws up to 1 A, so in a rack of several receivers this cable replaces a separate plug-top adapter for each unit, cutting down on mains sockets, cable clutter and points of failure. It suits system integrators and AV technicians building EW-DX installations in conference venues, lecture theatres, houses of worship and live production racks. Sennheiser's product shot shows one input connector with a strain-relief hook and four DC output plugs spaced along the cable. The NT 12-35 CS power supply itself is sold separately.
